Are you located in Japan? Does your Protestant Christian church have a team of people who would like to volunteer to help victims of the earthquake and tsunami in a physical way? Do you want to know how to get started? If yes, then the information here can help you take action.

How you can get involved:

Volunteer teams may participate with two types of recovery sponsored by Samaritan's Purse. Please click on the method that applies to your team, based on its level of experience.

Mud Out: The Mud Out Volunteer Team requires little to no experience, but know that this is physical and strenuous work. Teams wanting to assist in Mud Out volunteer work with Samaritan's Purse should take physical limitations into consideration. The "Mud Out" task is essentially removing all damaged parts on the first floor of homes, which is necessary before repairs can begin.

Repair: The Repair Team requires some experience of carpentry and skilled supervision will be provided by Samaritan's Purse. Like the Mud Out teams, this involves demanding physical work. Repairs will be focused on the interior first floor only.
